SUNDAY – An atmospheric lounge | a café in Poznań

The design of the Sunday café and playroom in Poznań was conceived as a space that meets the needs of both children and adults. The café—a place for work and meetings—and the Montessori-inspired playroom are united by a common language of materials and colors, without visually dividing the interior into “children’s” and “adults’” zones. Natural wood, veneers, stone, felt, and soft fabrics create a calm backdrop for various usage scenarios. The functional design allows parents to enjoy the café while children have their own space for free and creative play.

Sunday demonstrates how combining multiple functions can broaden a venue’s target audience. The space was designed not only for families with children—it can also serve as a classic café, a meeting place, or a workspace. As a result, a single venue meets the needs of various users and can function in several different ways throughout the day.
